RAPID RESPONSE CLAMP

Unparalleled Efficiency: The Game-Changing Benefits of the Rapid Response Clamp

our specialty clamp lines

You can access the brochures for the Rapid Response Clamp by downloading below. Initially designed for implementation in combat vessels, the Pipe Repair Technology has expanded its offerings to encompass three distinct variants: The Milspec Clamp (geared towards military applications, withstanding pressures of up to 20 bar), the HP40 Clamp (tailored for the oil and gas sector, capable of handling pressures of 40 bar), and the Commercial Clamp (suitable for a diverse array of industries, accommodating pressures of 10 bar).

Increased repair success and asset survivability

Highly effective for environmental damage control

Improved assets protection

Avoids disrupting your production workflow

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

World's fastest pipe repair

The VPG Rapid Response Clamp was engineered to contain leakage from damaged pipework under pressure faster and with less potential for harm to the operator than all competitive systems on the market. The RRC is by far the fastest method to repair a pipe under pressure, 5 times faster than traditional methods. Developed originally for use in combat vessels, the Pipe Repair Technology is now available in three variants.

The Clamp has applications across a variety of industries including energy, oil and gas, mining, refining, aviation, maritime, chemical and food industries. A major design advantage is that each clamp covers a wide diameter range. Only 8 different sizes are required to span the standard range of 38 mm to 930 mm. Clamps to suit larger diameters are available on request.

Each Clamp can be ordered with either Nitrile as a Sealing material, ( covers 90%+ of applications including drinking water ), or High-performance VITON for higher temperature applications e.g. steam pipes).

Sealing Material

NITRILE

Nitrile standard seal suits 90% of applications. Suitable for a wide range of fuels and chemicals to 115C. Also suitable for potable water.

VITON

Required for steam applications and fluid / gas / steam temperatures between 115C to 260C.

Pressure Handling

COMMERCIAL

The VPG Commercial Rapid Response Clamp was developed in response to customer demand for a more economical Rapid Response Clamp, utilising the same patented features. The Commercial Clamp has reduced thickness Seal material 3/16" inch ( 4mm ) and incorporates a high strength, glass reinforced Handle. This Rapid Response Clamp will seal to 147 psi ( 10Bar )*

MILSPEC

Original VPG Rapid Response Clamp was developed to improve Combat Survivability of Australian Navy assets. It is fully constructed from premium high stainless strength steels and can cope with sealing over up to 1/8" inch ( 3mm ) weld due to its 9/32" inch ( 7mm ) thick Labyrinth Seal. This Rapid Response Clamp will seal to 294 psi ( 20Bar )*

HP 40

The VPG Rapid Response Clamp - HP 40 was developed in response to customer demand for increased pressure and temperature handling capabilities utilising the same patented features. The HP 40 Clamp has significantly increased strength but maintains the same easy to use, quick action features. Developed primarily for high pressure steam and certain Oil and Gas market applications. This Rapid Response Clamp will seal to a maximum 600 psi ( 40Bar ) *

Instructions for Use

The VPG Rapid Response Clamp is fully self contained and is designed to be operated by one person with no requirement for additional tools.

Extensive evaluation by personnel from Damage Control / Combat Survivability arms of the Australian, Canadian and US Navies as well as leading mining, oil and gas and chemical companies has shown that within a few uses, the VPG Rapid Response Clamp can be applied 5-6 times faster than Jubilee or Banding type patches with less leakage.
